Temperature Monitors and Alarms

2741 Single Sensor
 Temperature Monitor and Alarm
with Factory Pre-sets

The 2741 Single Sensor Temperature Monitor
and Alarm offers the most powerful set of capabilities available in a single-channel temperature monitor and alarm system and it does so at a low price. It combines warning and alarm temperature limits with digital temperature display as well as visual and audible annunciation.
Separate high- and low-temperature limits are provided for warning as well as alarm conditions, i.e. four total. In addition, a separate audio annunciation time delay is provided for each temperature limit. Limits and delays are dictated by the user and pre-set at time of shipment. There are four user-changeable limits and delays.

Constant temperature monitoring

While constantly monitoring sensor temperature, the 2741 displays the current temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius (centigrade). When any of the four temperature limits is exceeded, the display begins flashing and the appropriate predefined time-delay begins.
At the end of the delay, the audio annunciator is activated once every 30 seconds for a warning condition and once every 5 seconds for an alarm condition. When an alarm or warning condition ceases to exist, the flashing display, the audio annunciation and the delay timer are automatically reset to normal for that condition.
A rugged reset touch-switch is provided to permit the user to temporarily cancel the audio annunciation and restart the appropriate time-delay.
An output is provided to activate a telephone auto-dialer whenever a warning or alarm condition exists, but only after the auto-dialer time-delay has elapsed. It is also activated during a power failure. An auto-dialer is ideal for use at remote sites or infrequently accessed locations, as well as during non-working hours when no one would be nearby to hear the audio annunciator.

2750 Solid-State Digital Temperature Sensor

The key to the model 2741's combination of exceptional performance and low cost is its ability to be used with the 2750 Solid-State Digital Temperature Sensor, which incorporates the new Dallas Semiconductor solid-state digital temperature sensor and the new Atmel flash ROM-based microcontroller. The Dallas temperature sensor is the first to offer self-contained digital temperature measurement.
It also requires only one pair of wires for power and data at distances of up to 300 feet from the model 2741's location. Its useful temperature range is minus-55 C. to 125 C. (-67 F. to 257 F.),  with an accuracy of 1 degree centigrade between minus-40 C. and 85 C. and 2 degrees centigrade at lower or higher temperatures.
Model 2750 includes the Dallas sensor and is required by the 2741 for air temperature monitoring. The 2741 in combination with the 2750 is ideal for monitoring refrigerators and freezers in restaurants, kitchens and warehouses where food storage is a concern.
